Context
As a DevOps engineer, you will be a key member of an Agile team responsible for managing and optimizing infrastructure platforms. Your role involves direct interaction with end-users and collaboration with co-developing teams to share expertise. You will be empowered to make autonomous decisions, balancing state-of-the-art technology, security, performance, and stability.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and implement the infrastructure platform services with your team.
- Enhance system reliability by improving resilience through bug-fixing and other measures.
- Conduct in-depth investigations to support decision-making processes and report findings.
- Build proof of concepts and prototypes.
- Design and implement solutions for production deployment.
What You Bring to the Table
- Senior Solaris administration experience with Solaris 8, 10, and 11 (hard requirement).
- Knowledge of Oracle/Sun hardware, including virtualization, CDOM, LDOM, and Zones.
- Familiarity with high-level programming languages such as Python and Shell Scripting.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, etc.
- Understanding of basic infrastructure elements like networking, DNS, DHCP, Directory Services, and storage solutions.
- Experience with Linux, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experience with Ansible Configuration Management and Puppet (nice to have).
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe methodologies.
